Computer (Hard Drive) Forensics:

We use industry standard software and hardware to analyze computer hard drives for legal evidence retrieval.  All evidence is legally retrieved by a licensed private investigator and documented as such.  Computer forensics can be extremely powerful, compelling and critical evidence.  The flat fee to complete the analysis of a hard drive is $1250

NOTE: Legal and thorough computer forensics is a time consuming process, portions of which (indexing files, for example) taking 40 to 80 hours at a time.  The effort, resources (specialized software & hardware) and time involved in analyzing the several hundred thousand files found on each hard drive is immense.  The background/skills needed are also just as specialized.  There are only a handful of private investigators that have the abilities and equipment to tackle this sensitive work PROPERLY.  Thus, the fee for this service may initially appear to be a relatively large amount of money.

LEGAL/SAFETY NOTE: IMAGING (COPYING) OF THE HARD DRIVES IN QUESTION MUST BE COMPLETED EITHER IN OUR OFFICE/LAB OR AT THE VERY LEAST IN A SAFE, NEUTRAL PLACE!

Cell Phone & Mobile Device Forensics:  [NO CHARGE for Initial Analysis]

We also use industry standard software and hardware to analyze cell phones and mobile devices.  All evidence is legally retrieved and documented as such.  Forensics from these devices can be extremely powerful, compelling and critical evidence.

The initial information we require is simply:

1) the specific cell phone or mobile device's make/model and...

2) whether or not the device uses/has a SIM card.

We will initially analyze the device/phone in question at NO CHARGE...

THEN, pricing ranges from $250 to $450, depending solely upon the quality and quantity of evidence that is retrieved from the SIM card, specific phone or specific mobile device:  Basically, a $250 fee is charged for "logical" (current) information from a SIM card, phone or device.  A $450 fee is charged for "logical" and "physical" (current AND deleted) information from a SIM card, phone or device.

There are literally thousands of different models of cell phones and mobile devices currently available. There are hundreds more released on the market each year. Technology and data structure varies greatly from model to model in this virtual ocean of devices. The reason we analyze the devices for free, is because the software capabilities change almost DAILY and we quite honestly do not always know for sure whether our software/hardware will acquire data from particular models or not - until we actually attempt forensics on the specific device/phone.

LEGAL/SAFETY NOTE: CELL PHONE AND MOBILE DEVICE FORENSICS MUST BE COMPLETED EITHER IN OUR OFFICE/LAB OR AT THE VERY LEAST IN A SAFE, NEUTRAL PLACE!

Domestic & General Surveillance:

Option 1 - Assessment The initial retainer to begin an investigation is $220 (which comes to 4 hours of surveillance).  "Assessment" is when the client knows almost nothing of the situation, whether the subject is doing what is suspected, etc.  If you have a very limited budget OR we have talked to you over the phone and have come to the conclusion that you basically just need to "see what is going on" with the subject's behavior, this is the retainer you need.

Option 2 - Standard The initial retainer to begin an investigation is $825 (which comes to approximately 12 hours of surveillance and 3 hours reserved for report/video).  "Standard" is when the client might actually know some of the movements of the subject, is relatively sure the subject is actually doing what is suspected, etc.  If your attorney has told you to "get a PI and secure the evidence", this is the retainer you need.

In any case, our rate charged against the retainer is $55/hour.

Mileage is not charged during any surveillance/case, UNLESS the surveillance moves outside a 45 mile radius of the local area.  A mileage rate of $0.45 per mile will be charged to the client when/if this occurs.  Normally this happens when the subject is taking a trip out of town, etc.

GPS (Vehicle) Tracking:

This service is ONLY available in the course of a legal, contracted investigation and for obvious liability (and legal) concerns - is not available as a 'standalone' service.  It is a 24/7 live tracking system accessed from our exclusive internet web site.

Tracking the vehicle via GPS must also be coupled with one of our retainers ($220/$825) - so that legitimate surveillance by an investigator is available. GPS is a very powerful tool that eliminates much of the 'guesswork', saves time and saves money on the end.  However, visible confirmation of the whereabouts of the vehicle and subject are still absolutely essential.

$350/weekly flat rate fee
